NEW EVENT | YC126.11.28 GROUNDBREAK
From 28 November to 12 December, Vanguard will descend to diverse planetary locations, engaging in intense ground combat that directly impacts the largest player-driven war in gaming history. With multiple new map variants, enemies, and tools, this represents the biggest update to the game to date.
IMPACT LIVE INSURGENCIES IN NEW EDEN
For the first time players can directly influence live insurgencies in New Eden and contribute to re-shaping the universe. Choose a side in the conflict, deploy into intense 9v9 skirmishes to capture and control artillery cannons that bombard enemy fleets from the surface. Drive opposition forces out of contested airspace and impact the ongoing war in the cluster in real time.
NEW MAP VARIANTS
Vanguard can now descend to a host of diverse locations from a new Deployment Map, each with its own environmental factors, activities, contracts, enemies, and resources. Choose where you deploy to satisfy your objectives, but keep in mind that some locations will be more challenging, requiring help or special equipment.
GEAR UP
Obtain blueprints and blueprint fragments to manufacture new weapon chipsets and equipment, and gear up more effectively for future deployments.
NEW CUTTING TOOL
Now included in all Vanguard loadouts, the new cutting tool has seen a significant upgrade and can be fitted with different mining crystals to improve its versatility and efficiency. Craft these crystals on world and equip them to your cutting tool as you would load ammo into a weapon.
NEW ACTIVITIES, NEW ENEMIES
You’ll find new, dynamic activities to engage with as you explore the surface. Secured Salvage and Mining Rights activities remain, but new for YC126.11.28 Groundbreak are Contraband Smuggling and Fluid Mining, new enemy types like the Militia, and more ways to take them out, such as a prototype grenade.
SEYKAL FURY GUN SKIN REWARD
Vanguard warclones who deploy during the event for more than 1 hour will receive the Seykal Fury gun skin at a later date.
SHIP SKIN REWARD IN EVE ONLINE
Capsuleers participating in the Groundbreak event will receive one of 16 Arkombine Arisen SKINs, including the possibility of one of four previously unreleased SKINs, in this Arkombine Arisen Skin crate. To be eligible you need to deploy in EVE Vanguard for more than 10 minutes. The crate will be claimable in the New Eden Store by 23:59 on 13 December.
QUALITY-OF-LIFE IMPROVEMENTS
